Booking is quick and easy — simply head to our website and reserve your equipment online. Payment is taken by Visa or Mastercard at the time of booking. Please note we don't offer cash payments or post-hire invoicing as a general rule.

To get your booking confirmed, you'll just need provide your contact information and payment details. This is standard procedure across the equipment hire industry.

No — our trailers are configured so that electric brakes on your tow vehicle aren't necessary. You simply need to ensure your vehicle has the appropriate towing capacity.

Just provide us with your vehicle's make, model or registration plate and we'll look up its towing capacity for you, making sure everything is above board legally and for insurance purposes.

Yes — we offer delivery across the local area. Delivery fees vary depending on location.

We're open Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm. We're generally closed on Sundays, though we accept returns on that day. If you need an out-of-hours or weekend collection arranged, just get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

We ask that everything comes back clean, fuelled up and undamaged — just as it went out. If you'd prefer us to handle the cleaning or refuelling, that's no problem at all, though additional charges will apply as per our Terms & Conditions

We know accidents can happen and we handle these situations regularly. Any damage costs are charged based on what it actually costs us to repair the item. Full details are covered in the Terms & Conditions

Before any excavation work begins, it's important to check for underground services such as gas, water and electrical lines. The BYDA (Before You Dig Australia) service is free to use for both individuals and businesses, and allows you to request site plans and information ahead of your dig. You can submit an enquiry and register for plans through their website at byda.com.au, and if you need assistance their team is also reachable by phone on 1100.

Our equipment is covered under our own hire insurance policy. That said, we'd always recommend arranging your own cover as well to reduce any potential risk or excess costs on your end.
We also provide the option to pay a Damage Waiver that brings your excess down from $10,000 to just $500 in the event of accidental damage or loss that's outside of your control. Full details are outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

Yes — we do offer wet hire, providing both the machine and an experienced operator.

No problem at all — we offer a practical operational walkthrough when you collect the machine. Just indicate your experience level at the time of booking and we'll make sure a team member is on hand to take you through everything you need to know before you get started. If it is your first time hiring with Simple Hire this introduction will be required.
